Well Nailheads, here we are on Dec. 30 th and all is well in the house of NAIL. This week has been busy visiting friends and having family and friends pop by for some Xmas cheer or wobbly pops, (as my Aunt Stacey would call it). Rainer and I attended the annual Xmas party at Brian and Linda Vollmer's (Planet HELIX) which is always a treat for us, very nice to see old friends and band mates from our past.
This week has been bitter sweet for we have had a wonderful Xmas but have also heard some bad news regarding a friend who has had a heart attack. We would like to send our love and prayers to Doug Weir lead singer from Syre who is in hospital recovering after suffering a massive heart attack while at a gig on Boxing Day…. Wishing you a speedy recovery my friend.
Now that the holidays are drawing closer to the end my band mates and I are looking forward to getting back to work on the NAIL project. With rehearsals still in progress and live production sets and videos being worked on for our live shows things are starting to come together. We are all very excited about the New Year for that's when we hope to get out there and perform the shit out of the NAIL tunes. We are looking forward to the cd release party, this will be the night we celebrate with all of you and we are planning to have one hell of a party…let's get hammered and NAIL'd. The band will also be doing a contest for all you to have a chance to win “VIP” passes to the show, these passes will get you in to the show free and into the “VIP” room where you will be able to hang with the band after the show, let's just say we'll have a good time together.
By now you have all meet Darcy the man whose job is to keep the bottom end alive and alive it is. We will be posting Darcy's bio sometime next week so look for that coming soon.
Well last but not least, Rainer had decided to give me a beautiful gold necklace for Xmas which is very special… it's a NAIL necklace…very cool. This necklace was designed by Rainer and made by a great friend of ours Chuck Sandford from Thunder Bay at Exquisite Gold and Gems. So thank you Rainer for the beautiful gift and thank you Chuck for making this beautiful necklace and doing such an amazing job.
